Here’s a great anti-inflammatory drink you can brew at home!

Recipe:

1 Gallon Water
Green Tea Bags (regular or decaffeinated)
Chopped Fresh Ginger Root (don’t bother peeling it)

1. Bring 1 gallon of water to a boil.
2. Remove from heat.
3. Add green tea bags to your desired strength level (from 4-12 regular sized tea
bags is common.)
4. Steep for one hour.
5. Remove the tea bags.
6. Then add 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 pound of chopped ginger root.
7. Steep overnight.
8. Strain out the ginger.
9. Store the drink in the refrigerator.

Drinking 1 quart per day will often lower inflammation noticeably. One variation is to sweeten the tea with about 1 Tablespoon of cherry juice concentrate per quart of tea. This adds a great flavor while increasing the anti-inflammatory power of the drink. This step is important for individuals with elevated uric acid/gout.
